UK Boogie Woogie : Regular Monthly Club
Meetings

|
The UK Boogie Woogie Club has been
launched as a kind of 'Supporters Club', with regular monthly meetings and
events held throughout the year at 'The Exchange' in Sturminster
Newton.
|
|
These Monthly Meetings will offer an
array of exciting events and concerts, including informal evenings of live
Boogie Woogie and Blues Piano Music, with resident pianist and vocalist Julian
Phillips, his Band 'The Stuff', and also other specially invited Guest Artists,
including some favourite pianists from past International Festivals.
|
|
Club nights are usually held on the
First Monday in the Month from 7.30PM to 10.30PM {Non-members
welcome, see note below}
|

Joining the Club : Annual
Membership costs 25 per person. Non-Members are welcome to attend individual
Club Meetings on payment of a 3.50 Admission Fee, collected on the door.

Members enjoy cheaper admission for
Monthly Club Nights, and also a range of discounted ticket prices for the main
Summer Festival, and other concerts organised by the Club.

The Club will run its own licensed bar
and any profits made will be ploughed directly back into the Club. The bar aims
to have qood quality drinks and 'nibbles' at reasonable club prices.

The ultimate aim is for the Club to be
able to function throughout the year with the support of its members, as there
are no other funds available yet to help with the running costs.
